How Messaging Works

ListMint has a built-in messaging system so buyers and sellers can communicate directly without sharing personal contact information.

Each conversation is tied to a specific listing, keeping discussions organized.
All messages stay within the app — no need to share your phone number or email.
Both buyers and sellers can see the listing details within the conversation.

Starting a Conversation

Open a listing — navigate to the detail page of an item you're interested in.

Click the message button — this opens a new conversation thread linked to that listing.

Type your message and send — ask questions, negotiate pricing, or arrange pickup details.

Managing Conversations

Access all your conversations from the Messages page in the sidebar navigation.

Unread indicators — new messages show badge counts so you never miss a message.
Conversation previews — see the listing photo, other party's name, and the latest message at a glance.
Conversation history — full message history with timestamps is always available.

Messaging Best Practices

Respond promptly — quick replies build trust and help close sales faster.
Be specific — when asking about an item, mention exactly what you want to know (condition, measurements, availability).
Agree on details clearly — confirm meetup location, time, and payment method before meeting.
Stay in-app — keep all communication within ListMint for your safety and a clear record.
